12 “5zzly” Crew Members Indicted for Multiple Violent Crimes in New York City

BRONX, NY – Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and New York City Police Commissioner Edward Caban announced the indictment of 12 alleged members of the “5zzly” crew.

The individuals, aged between 16 and 22, are charged with a series of violent crimes, including the fatal shooting of an innocent bystander, Ariel Santos, multiple shootings, and robberies spanning from February 2021 to June.

The 110-count indictment includes charges such as second-degree Murder, first-degree Manslaughter, Attempted Murder, Assault, Robbery, and Conspiracy, among others. The alleged crew members are believed to have targeted various individuals, including cab drivers, elderly citizens, and a parole officer.


Three of the indicted, Jaquell Blackwell, Abdoul Azika, and Davion Collen, were arraigned and remanded. Daniel Chambers was released under supervision on Wednesday.

Six other defendants are currently in custody for other cases, awaiting arraignment, while two more have been apprehended and are also awaiting arraignment. The Bronx community is asked to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure safety and justice.
