Middletown-Lincroft Road to Open by January 22nd

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Middletown-Lincroft Road, over Comptons Creek, is expected to open to traffic by Jan. 22, weather permitting.

“Due to deterioration of the bridge deck, necessary repairs must be performed,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Department of Public Works and Engineering. “The goal is to improve the overall safety of the traveling public in the area.”

Middletown-Lincroft Road will be open to local traffic only between Bamm Hollow Road and Castle Drive. All other motorists should follow the posted detours.


“Motorists should expect travel delays in the area throughout the bridge project,” said Arnone. “We appreciate everyone’s patience during the duration of this necessary project.”

The works is being performed by Lucas Construction. The estimated cost of construction is $250,000.

In total, the County maintains of approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
