JACKSON-Police in Jackson said they charged a woman who drove her kid to school drunk last Tuesday.
According to police at around 9 am. officers Andy Falzarano and Craig Lindenberg responded to the McAuliffe Middle School on South Hope Chapel Road on the report of a suspected intoxicated female who had driven a child to the school.
The officers located the 43-year-old female suspect in the parking lot and subsequent to the investigation, she was placed under arrest.
She was processed and charged with: DWI with a minor child in the vehicle, DWI on school grounds, refusal to submit to breath samples and reckless driving. She was also charged with abuse, cruelty, and neglect. She was released on a summons pending a court appearance.
Police did not release the woman’s name.
