Black Market Barber Shop in Brick Shut Down

BRICK-Times are tough as we’re finishing up our third week of coronapocalypse and it’s starting to show.  Bad hair days are the norm, but two crafty barbers in Brick Township thought they could get away with operating a black market barber shop under the radar.  They were wrong as police shut down the Coliseum Barbershop and Salon with the owner and a barber getting charged with violating Phil Murphy’s executive order forcing the closure of all barbershops and salons.

  • Ibrahim Muhammad, 25, and Ashley Appleton-Tims, 25, both of Brick, were charged yesterday, April 8, with violating the emergency orders for opening the Coliseum Barbershop & Hair Salon in Brick. Ibrahim is the owner of the business, and Appleton-Tims is a salon employee who was assisting a client when police arrived yesterday.
