Man Being Sought in Bias Incident in Brick Township

BRICK, NJ – Brick Township police are searching for a man pictured here in conjunction with a bias incident against an individual at Target.

“This evening, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a bias incident occurred at the Target Store on Route 70,” Brick police said. “We’re looking to identify the suspect in the attached photograph. He’s a white male in his late 40’s to early 50’s, approximately 5′ 10″ weighing approximately 180lbs. He was wearing blue jeans, a grey hoody, a black shirt and black sunglasses on his head. He was last seen walking east from Target, carrying two plastic bags. Any information on the identity of this subject, please contact Detective Puccio at 732-262-1112.”

In recent weeks, in northern Ocean County, bias incidents are on the rise according to sources within the state government, fueled by fears posted online by fringe hate groups.  The Attorney General’s Office is also investigating and appears ready to act against an undisclosed hate-based group in the region.  It is unclear if this individual is a member of that group or has ties.
