Fire in Lakewood Home After Car Crashed Through the Wall

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The Lakewood Fire Department responded to an overnight call after a car crashed through a home on Squankum Road.  The vehicle was apparently driving southbound through the intersection of Squankum Road and County Line Road when the incident occurred.

“MVC into a house on Squankum Rd. Engine 5 on location with a vehicle that caught fire which subsequently turned into a structure fire. A General Alarm was dispatched. All vehicle occupants escaped and no one was inside the residence at the time,” the fire department reported.
