WASHINGTON, D.C. – Newly released documents from within the Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed a clear plan to frame U.S. Lt. General Michael Flynn by exploiting the powers of the FBI. President Donald Trump, after learning of the documents called former FBI director James Comey and his cohorts in the plant to take down Flynn, “Filthy, dirty cops.”
Those documents should lead to the full exoneration of Flynn, proving that a few high ranking FBI agents were involved in a setup, at some points, even bragging about it.
“Look at what they did to the guy. I mean, he couldn’t have known too much [about] what was happening,” Trump said. “They came at him with 15 buses, and he’s standing in the middle of a highway. What they did to this man, they tormented him. They destroyed him. But he’s going to come back. Like I say, he’s going to come back bigger and better.”
The FBI labeled the subversive operation against Flynn, Operation Crossfire Razor.
According to the documents, the goal of the investigation was to determine whether Flynn, associated with the Trump campaign, was directed and controlled by and/or coordinated activities with the Russian Federation in a manner which is a threat to the national security and/or possibly a violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The FBI found no derogatory information was identified in FBI holdings but left the case open.
Trump told reporters he would offer Flynn a job within his administration if he desired. Trump also used the memo as a platform to bash CNN, accusing the network for their part in aiding the FBI during the Flynn investigations.
“.@CNN doesn’t want to speak about their persecution of General Michael Flynn & why they got the story so wrong. They, along with others, should pay a big price for what they have purposely done to this man & his family. They won’t even cover the big breaking news about this scam!” he said.
