Butter Your Biscuit at Today’s Jersey Shore Morning Kick Off

BRADELY BEACH, NJ – Sunday, we visited Fast Break in Toms River for our first breakfast stop.  On Monday, we headed north to Bradley Beach to butter our biscuits at the Buttered Biscuit.  There’s not much to say about the Buttered Biscuit.  Prior to COVID-19, it was just a fun, fresh breakfast stop at the Jersey Shore. These days, they are keeping the doors open a few days a week to keep the locals going, but if you’re in the area, stop on by.

The Buttered Biscuit also has a really awesome back story on top of the good food.

“With a passion for great food, as well as each other, Liz and Dave McAllister married in 2009 and soon after launched their first eatery, the Honeysuckle Café on the oceanfront in Bradley Beach,” the cafe says on its website.  “In 2011, the couple realized one of their dreams and opened the Buttered Biscuit on Main Street, with a comfortably snazzy French cafe-inspired atmosphere and a fairly priced menu filled with crave-worthy breakfast and lunch items. You can taste the fun they have putting a creative spin on breakfast classics like a sprinkle of Herbes de Provence in your omelette and bringing new taste sensations to town like Ho Cakes – a southern-style corn pancake topped with butter and raspberry jam.”

Be warned, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are only open from Thursday through Monday. They have specials each day and again, don’t take our word for it, here’s what Yelpers are saying about the restaurant.

“One of the best breakfast places in an area full of breakfast places! Don’t hesitate to check out The Buttered Biscuit. Everything on the menu is fantastic, from the omelets & pancakes for breakfast to their lunch offerings as well. The biscuits are a must get, as is the crumb cake.”

“Exceptional breakfast/brunch joint with incredible charm and friendliest service tucked away on the Jersey Shore!!  Everything you could ask for if you’re looking for the best breakfast, brunch or lunch!!!  First thing walking in I was amazed at the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! And I love the cozy interior!”

Visit the Buttered Biscuit on Facebook to see the special of the day and to take a look at the current menu.  Just remember, they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
