METRO PARK, NJ  – For those New Jersey residents who still have jobs or have jobs that don’t allow for remote working, Governor Phil Murphy announced that regular daily train service will resume next week.

“On Monday, July 6th, NJ Transit rail and light rail service will return to its full weekday schedule. NJ Transit is taking this step now before ridership increases to higher levels, with businesses and offices coming back online,” Murphy said. “To provide the runway that it needs to properly communicate its social distancing protocols among commuters, so they can have trust in NJ Transit to safeguard their rides to and from work. And NJ Transit has put its full set of plans for doing so online at njtransit.com/recovery. But without a doubt, more trains running means that we’re getting closer to taking our next steps along the road back.”
