Car Crashes Through Parking Lot Outdoor Dining Facility in New Jersey

WALDWICK, NJ – A car crashed through the outdoor dining area at Nellies Place in Waldwick, New Jersey on Friday.   We’ve been saying it since the day Governor Phil Murphy announced outdoor dining that sent restaurant visitors into the streets and parking lots across the state, it’s only a matter of time.   Luckily, for Nellies, the rain Friday forced the restaurant to close its outdoor dining for the day.

“We had a car accident in our parking lot this afternoon, fortunately, no one was hurt, and we were closed for outdoor dining due to the rain. We hope to be back up and operating for Saturday morning at 11:00 am. Please stay safe,” the restaurant said.  “Thank you all or your concern, it’s greatly appreciated. We will be reopening today at 11 am, and have added concrete barriers for extra protection”

Nobody was in the seating area when the crash, which was captured on the restaurant’s security video occurred.

On Saturday, the restaurant installed large concrete barriers in addition to the orange traffic cones they had to previously block off the section of their parking lot now being used for outdoor dining.

If you’re in the area, show them some support this weekend.
