TOMS RIVER, NJ – Earlier this year, DJ D’onofrio announced the closure of Social 37 during the COVID-19 pandemic and now, the restaurant’s next door neighbor, Smash Burger has also closed its doors.   It used to be called “Dover Plaza” but now it’s known as “Crossroads Center”

Social 37 says it may reopen.

“To our Valued Patrons, Unfortunately, we are no longer able to remain open nor continue our curbside carry-out service during this crisis. We greatly appreciate your generous support and can’t wait to re-open and serve you all again in our home. Until then, remain safe. Practice Social distancing, and help end this outbreak. Much Love, your Social 37 Family,” Donofrio posted back in March.

As for Smash Burger, the chain has closed several restaurants in New Jersey due to Governor Phil Murphy’s extended pandemic shutdown of the restaurant industry.

A new sign on the door reads, “We have closed for business, thank you for your business over the years.”

Buffalo Wild Wings is the only remaining restaurant open in the newly constructed three-unit building within the plaza.
