Shore News Network

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Much is happening at the Toms River Township Council meetings that occur twice per month, but since taking a nearly $500,000 annual salary to head the township’s legal department, attorney Greg McGuckin has not been present at those meetings.  McGuckin instead attends meetings in Jackson Township where he also serves as chief legal counsel to the municipality.  McGuckin’s firm represents at least 21 municipalities and agencies throughout the Jersey Shore.   The firm also serves as the zoning board attorney for Lakewood Township.  The firm is expected to earn as much as $3,000,000 in public pay to play contracts.  During the COVID-19 shutdown the firm also received federal PPP funds.
