Man who Stole Money from Pomperaug Football Club Charged

SOUTHBURY, CT –  Erik Gran has been arrested by the Southbury Police Department for embezzling money out of the Pomperaug Gridiron Football Club. Police were tipped off in 2018 and this week, Gran turned himself in after a two-year-long police investigation.

Police reported: On December 14, 2018, Officer Grandpre of the Southbury Police Department received a complaint relevant to the alleged embezzlement of money from the Pomperaug Gridiron Club, a non-profit 501c3 organization established for the purpose of supporting the financial needs of the Pomperaug High School football team. After almost a two year investigation, Erik Gran, DOB: 05/12/72 turned himself in at the Southbury Police Department on a Ga. 4 (Waterbury) arrest warrant for Larceny second degree (embezzlement) 53a-123. Gran was released on a court set written promise to appear. Court date set for December 2, 2020 at Ga. 4 Waterbury.
