Police Investigate Body Found Across the Street from Long Reach High School

COLUMBIA, MD – On Wednesday morning a body was discovered in the woods across the street from Long Reach High School on Old Dobbins Lane.  School was in session at the time and students were kept inside the building during the investigation process and body retrieval.  Howard County police have located the body of an adult in a wooded area in Columbia and are investigating suspicious circumstances around the person’s death.  Police received a tip that there may be a body in a wooded area adjacent to the 6100 block of Old Dobbin Lane. Police responded to that location Tuesday morning and located the body of an adult, but have not yet confirmed the gender. No further information is available at this time.
