Ridgefield Man Charged with Child Pornography While on Parole

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JACKSON T. DIETRICH (DOB: 1/11/1983; single; unemployed) of 760 Abbott Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ on charges of Violation Of Parole Supervision For Life and Possession Of Child Pornography. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of JACKSON T. DIETRICH during an Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that DIETRICH used the Internet in violation of his New Jersey parole conditions and viewed digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children.

As a result of the investigation, DIETRICH was arrested on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Paramus, NJ and charged with one count of Violation Of Parole Supervision For Life, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:43-6.4(d), a 3rd degree crime; and one count of Possession/Viewing Of Child Pornography, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(b)iii, a 3rd degree crime. DIETRICH was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack,and action by the Parole Board.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Ridgefield Police Department and the New Jersey State Parole Board for their assistance, as well as the Lyndhurst Police Department and Bergen County Sheriff’s Office which both participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
