Two Halloween Shootings Send Two Women to Hospital in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA – The Worcester Police Department Detective Unit is investigating two shootings that occurred on Halloween night.
At about 10:52 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 261 Lincoln St for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers spoke to witnesses and discovered that gunshots had just been heard in the area. While officers were checking the area, they were notified by a local hospital that a gunshot victim had arrived in the ER. The female victim was grazed by a bullet and suffered minor injuries. The incident is under investigation.
At about 11:30 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Gates St for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a female shooting victim on the first floor of a Gates St apartment. The female had been shot while inside her residence and suffered serious injuries. She was transported to the hospital and detectives took over the investigation.
