Phil Murphy, Family Tell NJ to Stay The F— Home While Dining Out Wednesday Night

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Just days after being called a “dick” by an upset New Jerseyan while dining out with his family, Clan Murphy has since told the peasantry of New Jersey to stay home on Thanksgiving.  Just two days after telling New Jerseyeans to stay in their familial bubble or police will come arrest them, Clan Murphy broke the good governor’s own rules and topped things off with ridiculous hats embroidered with the words “Stay the F— Home” fashioned after Trump “MAGA” hats when they dined out Wednesday night in Long Branch.

The Murphys in tight quarters, violating social distancing and who knows how many other executive orders dined out at the swank “Butcher’s Block” restaurant in Long Branch the day before Thanksgiving.

“There’s no hypocrisy involved in wearing “STAY THE FUCK HOME” hats while dining at The Butcher’s Block,” wrote Monmouth County political blogger Art Gallagher who made the find of Murphy with restaurant owner Tom D’Ambrisi.    The restaurant voluntarily closed for indoor dining but does have a large patio area for outdoor dining.

“Might not agree on everything; but we do agree on one thing…. Stay The Fuck Home,” D’Ambrisi said.

On Trip Advisor, the restaurant was criticized last week by guests.

“In town visiting friends. They took us here for a good steak. Overshadowing the decent but way overpriced steak was the lack of regard for CDC recommendations regarding Covid. Tables were normal distance and most patrons walking around without masks both in and out,” said Texas resident Tom G. “Bathroom was small and packed with non mask wearing men. It felt weird the whole night. Service was good but also not worth the crazy high priced meat.”
