Two drug dealers arrested during traffic stop in Citrus County

HOMOSASSA, FL – Two people, a woman and man were arrested for dealing drugs in Citrus County, Florida after deputies here initiated a traffic stop on US 19.

“Over the holiday weekend, CCSO’s deputies were hard at work keeping our streets safe,” the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Saturday, November 28th, Deputy Danner conducted a traffic stop at the corner of US 19 and Cypress Blvd in Homosassa. During the stop, Danner’s K9 partner, Riggs, alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle occupied by 28-year-old Richard Dalton, and 38-year-old Heather Hammon.


Deputies Danner and Hunter searched the vehicle and located the following: 133 grams of methamphetamine, 3.7 grams of THC wax, 42 grams of cannabis, Diazepam 10mg, Alprazolam 2mg, Alprazolam .5mg, Alprazolam .25mg, Clonazepam 1mg, Buprenorphine 8mg, Hydromorphone 8mg, and Methadone 10mg.

Dalton was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, 10 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $71,000.

Hammon was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $5,000.
