Drug dealer with two handguns caught in Hamilton Township by State Police

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – The New Jersey State Police have arrested Andre Muhammad, 20, of Pleasantville, N.J., after a car stop that led to the seizure of $445 worth of drugs and two stolen guns.

On Wednesday, November 25, at 10:30 p.m., Trooper Robert Cantoni stopped a Toyota Camry for a traffic violation on County Road 552 in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County. During the stop, Tpr. Cantoni discovered the passenger, Muhammad, was in possession of marijuana.

After further investigation, Tpr. Cantoni discovered Muhammad was also in possession of a .40 caliber handgun, a .45 caliber handgun, two high capacity magazines, heroin, and THC oil. He was arrested without incident.

Andre Muhammad was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of weapons with a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of high capacity magazines, possession of stolen property, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS, possession of synthetic cannabinoid, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged at the Atlantic County


Jail pending a detention hearing.
Charges are mere accusations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
