EAST NAPLES, FL – An illegal speed contest on U.S. 41 North late Wednesday night ended in the arrests of three people, including a driver who played the “Bad Boys” song for deputies.
Oscar Manuel Llera Iturralde, 19, of 271 Forest Hills Blvd in East Naples, and Jose Luis Ramirez-Sanchez, 20, of 4413 17th Place S.W. in Golden Gate are each charged with racing on a public highway.
Arlington Joel Aguilar Hernandez, 20, of 1207 Granada Blvd. in North Naples, is charged with riding as a passenger in a race competition.

Around 11:15 p.m. deputies were finishing up a call in the 4700 block of U.S. 41 N. when they observed red Ford Mustang and a silver Infinity slow-roll past them, heading north on 41. The Mustang front-seat passenger, later identified as Aguilar Hernandez, leaned out the window and yelled, “20 roll on 3,” which deputies recognized as street slang for, “Start racing at 20 mph.” Aguilar Hernandez then counted aloud, “1, 2, 3.”
Deputies got into their patrol vehicles and began driving north on U.S. 41 North behind the Mustang and Infinity. They watched the two vehicles come to a stop at the red light at the intersection with Pine Ridge Road. Once the light turned green both vehicles sped off at a high-rate of speed, with the Mustang spinning its tires. Deputies clocked the vehicles on radar at speeds of 80 mph to 95 mph. The speed limit on that stretch is 55 mph.
Deputies caught up to the two vehicles and initiated a traffic stop. When deputies informed the driver of the Infinity, Llera Iturralde, the reason for the stop, he exclaimed, “What.” As deputies were walking away to run his driver’s license, he began to play “Bad Boys”, the “COPs” TV show theme song very loudly.
Deputies arrested Llera Iturralde and the driver of the Mustang, Ramirez-Sanchez, on the misdemeanor charge.
Aguilar Hernandez was charged with a misdemeanor for knowingly riding as a passenger and coordinating a race between the vehicles, arrest reports said.
