JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A lightning strike at an outdoor archery range in Ocean County left one man dead and 13 others injured Wednesday evening, according to police.

The incident occurred just before 7:15 p.m. at the Black Knight Bowbenders archery range on Perrineville Road. Authorities confirmed that a 61-year-old man was killed at the scene.

The 13 injured victims, ranging in age from 7 to 61, sustained various injuries including burns and symptoms described by officials as “not feeling well.” All were transported to nearby hospitals for medical evaluation and treatment.
