New York State Police urge drivers to clear snow from vehicles amid winter storm

CENTRAL NEW YORK — With a Winter Storm Warning in effect for Central New York, state police are reminding drivers to remove snow from their vehicles to ensure road safety.

In a social media post, the New York State Police emphasized the dangers of driving with snow-covered vehicles, noting that snow can obstruct a driver’s vision and potentially fall onto other vehicles, creating hazardous conditions.

“Snow on your vehicle can hinder your ability to see others on the road and it can also hit drivers behind you and cause an accident,” the post warned, urging residents to take extra precautions as the storm moves through the region.
