ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A teenager is facing serious charges after allegedly shooting a man in the face with a paintball gun in Annapolis, police said.

Officers responded around 5:10 p.m. on March 21 to the 600 block of Admiral Drive after reports of individuals firing paintball guns in the area.

When police arrived, an adult male told officers he had been struck in the face by a paintball fired by an unknown suspect.

Authorities said officers quickly located a 14-year-old in the area of Admiral Drive and Jennifer Road holding a paintball gun and behaving in a disorderly manner.

The teen was taken into custody and positively identified by the victim.

Police said the suspect is facing charges including first-degree assault and reckless endangerment, along with additional charges.
