19-year-old shot and wounded at Rochester pizzeria during Monday night gunfire

Rochester, NY – A 19-year-old man was shot and injured Monday night inside a local pizza shop on North Street, marking another act of gun violence in the city’s northeast side.

The shooting took place at R Pizzeria, located at 695 North Street, on November 10. Rochester Police say the victim was shot once during the incident, though the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. The weapon involved has not been publicly identified.

First responders arrived quickly and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been made and no suspect description has been released. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the area and speaking with witnesses.

Police have not confirmed whether the shooting occurred inside the restaurant or just outside, but it is being classified as a targeted attack.
