Jackson Liberty Graduate to Appear on American Idol Tonight

JACKSON – A Jackson Liberty High School graduate – who won the school’s “Liberty Idol’’ competition in his senior year – will be a contestant featured on the show “American Idol’’ on either Jan. 7 or Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Tyler Moellmann graduated from Jackson Liberty High School in 2009. While he was there, he was a contestant in – and the ultimate winner of – the school’s “Liberty Idol’’ completion that year.

tyler“Who knew that the winner of our very own ‘Idol’ competition would some day wind up on the real thing,’’ said Jackson Liberty High School Principal Maureen Butler. “We are proud of Tyler and wishing him the best in his pursuits.’’


The show featuring Moellmann could broadcast on either Jan. 7 or Jan. 8, according to his family.
