Toms River Dog License Renewals Available Through Jan. 31

Shore News Network

TOMS RIVER – Toms River dog owners are reminded that all dogs over seven months of age must be licensed each year, according to state law.

To avoid a late fee, dog owners should renew their dog license by Jan. 31. The renewal fee is $15 for spayed or neutered dogs with proof from a veterinarian. The cost is $20 if the dog is not spayed or neutered.

Owners must present a current rabies shot certificate with an expiration date after Nov. 1, 2016. If the shot expires before Nov. 1, 2016, the dog cannot be licensed until its rabies shot is updated and a new shot certificate is presented.

In-person dog license renewals can be done at the Toms River Municipal Building, 33 Washington St., from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Payment may be made by cash or check only. No debit or credit cards. For more information, visit www.tomsrivertownship.com
