HS ICE HOCKEY: Brick Township Tops Southern Regional 4-2

Michael Mooney scored two goals and had one assist Wednesday to lead the Brick Township High School hockey team to a 4-2 win over visiting Southern Regional.

The game was tied when John Maloney scored with 4:09 left in the second period to give the Green Dragons a 3-2 lead. Mooney scored his second goal of the game three minutes later to make the final score 4-2.

Matt Stritch also scored for Brick Township. Noah Reiss had two assists and Maloney had one. Goalie Jake Lakatos stopped 38 of the 40 shots he faced to earn the win with the Green Dragons.
