Grant-Writing Workshop on Federal Nonprofit Security Grant Held Feb. 22

TOMS RIVER – The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness is offering a grant-writing workshop to nonprofits in Ocean County and in other counties that are interested in applying for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program.

The workshop will give applicants a better understanding of the process. It will include how to complete the application, scoring and the grant administration process. The federal grant provides funding to organizations at high risk of terrorist attack. The money must be used to purchase and install security equipment on their property.

The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 22 at the New Jersey Forensic Science Technology Center auditorium, 1200 Negron Drive, Hamilton. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. For more information, visit http://www.njhomelandsecurity.gov/calendar/grantworkshop.
