Department News (Wednesday, February 17, 2016) – The Lacey Township Police Department welcomes a new officer as a lateral transfer from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Officer Martin A. Julian officially began his career as a Lacey Township Police Officer on Monday, February 15, 2016, after serving more than three years with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Officer Julian currently serves a Staff Sergeant with the Army National Guard and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He served as a detective in the warrants unit of the sheriff’s department and served as a member of the Sniper Platoon of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team prior to his transfer to Lacey Township. Officer Julian will serve as a uniformed patrol officer after completing his field training with department field training officers. Officer Julian was formally sworn in by Township Administrator/Clerk Veronica Laureigh and was joined by his wife Jamie along with Chief David Paprota.
