HS WRESTLING: Two Titles for Jackson Memorial in District 21 Tournament

Mike Spino and Tanner Kelly of Jackson Memorial High School and Tyler Kalmowitz of Jackson Liberty won championships in their respective weight classes Saturday at the NJSIAA District 21 Wrestling Tournament in Manalapan.

Spino won a 9-2 decision over Nick Ciaccia of Howell in the finals at 120 pounds and Kelly won a 3-0 decision over Steven Giannios of St. John Vianney at 182 pounds. It was the first district championship for Spino and the second for Kelly, who won last year at 170 pounds. Matt McGowan finished second at 126 pounds and Adante Davis finished second at 195 pounds for the Jaguars.

Kalmowitz won a 6-2 decision over Derrick Wiley of Matawan at 160 pounds to win his first district championship. Nicholas Pellegrino finished second at 113 pounds and Jeremy Bollard finished second at 152 pounds for the Lions.
