Public Hearing on March 22 over Seaside Heights Beach Swap

SEASIDE HEIGHTS – The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Green Acres Program will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. March 22 to discuss a request by Seaside Heights to dispose of 1.47 acres of public beach as part of an expansion of the Casino Pier.

As compensation for the proposed loss of park land, the borough is offering parcels in Seaside Heights and Toms River in return. The meeting will be held in the 2nd floor municipal court room of the George E. Tompkins Municipal Complex, 116 Sherman Ave. in Seaside Heights.

Information about the plan can be viewed at the complex, at the Ocean County Library in Toms River and at the New Jersey DEP office. Written comments may be sent to the Borough Administrator at 901 Boulevard, Seaside Heights, N.J. 08751.
