TOMS RIVER-On October 5th at 6 pm the Toms River Police Department was alerted that a 79 year old Holiday City woman had left her residence earlier in the day and not returned. The woman’s husband stated that his wife had driven her car from the Mt. Fairweather Lane home to an unknown location. She was last seen possibly wearing a tee shirt and pajama pants. After not hearing from her for several hours he phoned the police to report her missing.

The woman’s vehicle was located a little after 6 pm near the community lake. We have reason to believe that the woman may be distraught and in need of assistance.
The woman left behind her purse, wallet, cash, financial cards, and her cell phone.

A systematic search was conducted within the Holiday City Senior Community and was concentrated in the area where the vehicle was located. Toms River Police, EMS, and Fire Department personnel were utilized to conduct the search along with the use of water craft which scanned the nearby lake. Additionally, a NJ State Police Helicopter utilized heat sensing equipment to scan the area from the air.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the woman is urged to contact the police department at 732-349-0150 Ext 1020. She is described as 5’05 tall and 160 lbs. with Brown Hair and Brown Eyes
