Illegal Gun, Hollow Point Ammo, Drugs Found at Jackson Traffic Stop

Police Officer Keith French conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2001 Ford on South Cooksbridge Road. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle and the driver was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marijuana from the vehicle along with a 9mm unknown model handgun, 9 mm ammunition, .380 caliber hollow point ammunition and a combination brass knuckles/knife. The 25 year old male driver was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of an unlawful weapon (brass knuckles), unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), possession of hollow point ammunition, possession of CDS while operating a motor vehicle, tailgating, failure to maintain lane and driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
