TOMS RIVER, NJ-One of Toms River’s best Christmas stops, the Jemison Christmas Village on Vermont Avenue will not be running this year, according to a statement made by the family on Facebook this week.
“Due to illness we are unable to display the Christmas Village this year. We loved bring a part of your Christmas tradition. Happy Holidays,” the family said on their Vermont Avenue Christmas Village page.
The village was a spectacular drive through Christmas experience, one that has become a tradition for children throughout Ocean County. It’s a stop our own family made at least a dozen times each holiday season. The drive through was a total Christmas experience featuring Santa’s workship, a reindeer barn, trains, Christmas village scenes, a giant ginger bread house, fun and festive lighting displays all brought together with a local band radio station that played Christmas jingles for visitors.
No statement was made as to whether the village will be in operation next season or following seasons.
