Firefighters in Wall Township Save Home from Total Destruction During Fire

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ-In the early morning on December 1st, the Wall Township police communications received a call for a reported structure fire on schoolhouse Rd.

The township raised an alarm and the three fire districts were dispatched. The chief of the Glendola Chief 266 and the department’s ladder truck arrived to confirm a working fire with flames coming through the roof of a home.

“Ladder 290’s crew stretched a line quickly to the fire floor holding the fire to the bedroom of origin with extension into the attic,” the department said.  “A great job by first arriving crew of 290 holding the fire. A special thank you to South Wall Fire Rescue, West Belmar Fire a Company, Earle Naval Weapons Station Fire Dept, Unexcelled Fire Dept ( Neptune Twp ), Belmar Hook & Ladder, and our cover assignments from Spring Lake Goodwill, Neptune City and Wayside ( Tinton Falls ). Also to Wall Township Police and Wall First Aid & Rescue Squad.”

The firefighters managed to contain the fire to the bedroom area where the blaze began, but the home sustained serious damage.
