BERKELEY TWP-Mayor Carmen F. Amato, Jr., has announced the Township will host another Community Outreach program for homeowners that reside in the maritime area.

” I would like to invite homeowners who have flood insurance to attend the informational seminar, so they can learn how they can better protect their home from a flood disaster, and potentially save money off of their flood insurance.” Mayor Amato said.

The Program will be held at Berkeley Township Hall on Thursday March 28, 2019 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Discussion will be on flood insurance options, possibility of lowering your insurance premiums, and ensuring that the construction of your new home, or lifting of an existing home will comply on FEMA regulations.

“Back in the fall of 2018, we held a similar seminar which was well received by attendees so we have scheduled another one so residents can take advantage of this free review. ” Mayor Amato said.

Residents who plan on attending the seminar, should bring along a copy of their Elevation Certificate and Flood insurance Policy.

“This will enable residents to sit one-on-one with a Certified Floodplain Manger in order to get flood insurance options on the spot. We encourage maritime residents to join us at this important Community Outreach Program.” Mayor Amato said.
