FREEHOLD BOROUGH-A shooting incident that occurred in Tinton Falls on Monday ended safely.  Police said tonight that two individuals are in custody after the report of a gunshot fired near the campus of Brookdale Community College.  Police arrested one person at the scene of the incident but a second individual fled the scene to a Freehold Borough apartment where they barricaded themselves inside an apartment.

The Monmouth County Emergency Response Team descended upon that apartment and were able to convince the second suspect to surrender without incident.

During the incident, Brookdale Community College was placed on lockdown.
