TOMS RIVER-Mayor-Elect Maurice “Mo” Hill is finishing up his interviews for 44 confidential positions he is re-examing as he readies to take office in January.

“The Mayor-Elect has been interviewing all current confidential employees that have indicated they would like to continue,” said Business Administrator Don Guardian.  ” hat process should be completed by tomorrow ( Friday) afternoon. We’ll notify individuals of the decisions and any potential changes.”

Guardian said he would not comment on the speculation that Hill will begin grooming Director of Public Works Lou Amoroso to be his replacement.   Insiders have aid Amoroso could get a promotion to Assistant Business Administrator.   Guardian’s future with the township still remains unclear.


Those who will not be re-hired could face termination on New Year’s Eve.
