Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s party has claimed an emphatic victory in the UK’s general election – seen as a critical juncture in the Brexit crisis engulfing Britain.
The vote has left the opposition Labour Party in tatters – with its worst result in decades. Its leader Jeremy Corbyn has vowed to step down.
