Belmar Police Announce New Parking Restrictions for Non-Residents

BELMAR, NJ – Belmar has announced it will be restricting public parking in the borough in response to Murphy’s Law.

“Pursuant to Belmar Borough Emergency Order No. 2020-01 signed by Mayor Mark Walsifer on April 21, 2020, the Borough of Belmar will enforce an Emergency Parking Declaration for “Resident Parking Only” for specific designated areas within the Borough of Belmar,” the borough police department said.

This Emergency Parking Declaration will exist until Governor Murphy rescinds the New Jersey State of Emergency Order due to COVID-19. (New Jersey Executive Order No. 103) After consultation with Belmar Police Chief Tina Scott and the Coordinators of the Belmar Office of Emergency Management, the following Emergency Parking Plan was implemented: 16th Avenue South to North Boulevard including B Street, Snyder Avenue, A Street, Surf Avenue, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th Avenues will be posted for “Belmar Resident Parking Only”.


The Emergency Parking Restrictions will be closely monitored and adjusted accordingly as dictated by circumstances.
