After missing the entire 1984 season, Keough was released by the Yankees after a season plagued with arm injuries, playing for the Yankees double-A affiliate, Nashville Sounds.   Keough ended his playing career in 1986 after bouncing between St. Louis, Houston and Chicago, with the Cubs.
