SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ – There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk this summer, after all, it’s a family town these days. That’s the word from Mayor Anthony Vaz after Atlantic City, Cape May and Wildwood announced legal public outdoor drinking.
“As restaurants and bars pivot this week to outdoor dining and the temporary use of public space like the Boardwalk, the sale of “to-go” mixed drinks and other alcoholic beverages in sealed containers will not be permitted,” Mayor Vaz Said. “So, please don’t. Police Department and Code Enforcement Division will be actively writing tickets under the Borough’s open container ordinance.”
So think twice before you fill up your 50 oz 7-11 Double Big Gulp cup with Coca-Cola and pour full bottle of into it before hitting the boards this summer. It’s now frowned upon.
