LOS ANGELES, CA – Elizabeth Bagget died of an overdose last fall and responding police officer David Rojas showed up, fondled the dead woman’s breasts, “feeling her nipples, without limitation” and shared his body cam video with others.

Rojas turned off his body camera after his partner left the room and began sexually assaulting the woman’s corpse.  Uknown to Rojas, his body cam has a buffer that continues recording for up to two minutes after it’s deactivated by officers.

Although he was suspended in December by the department, Rojas remains employed by the LAPD.  The police union has, which normally provides legal aide to its officers has even refused to provide him legal support or pay for his legal bills.
