IDIANTOWN, FL – The Martin County Sheriff’s Department said on Tuesday that a teacher at the Warfield Elementary School was shocked and horrified after a man entered the home of one of her students during an online virtual class and shot and killed the mother of one of her students.

“The teacher’s online, I’ve never done a Zoom with children, so I’m picturing there’s other children on…and the teacher can see the children,” said Sheriff William Snyder. “She heard a commotion, heard profanity, realized it was some sort of domestic altercation. The teacher said she mutes her button so nobody has to hear it, and then she sees the 10-year-old put her hands up to her ears.”

The zoom call ended as a bullet struck the 10-year-old girl’s computer.

According to Sheriff Snyder, 27-year-old Donald Williams entered the home and shot 32-year-old Maribel Rosado Morales in front of their children.

The department said Williams fled the scene on a bicycle before getting on a bus.  The bus driver was suspicious of the man and notified the police. Williams was arrested without incident as a SWAT team entered the bus.  He was charged with first-degree murder and gave a full confession to the investigators.
