TOMS RIVER, NJ – On Tuesday, gyms across New Jersey are going to be allowed to reopen under a new executive order signed by Governor Phil Murphy.  On Monday, to show support of their favorite local gym that has been shut down since March, New Jerseyeans can show their appreciation and support for local business owners by renewing their gym memberships, karate classes, yoga classes, dance classes and others right away.  The boost will be a great economic stimulus for hardworking business owners, many who have gone without a paycheck since March.

In Toms River, Councilman Daniel Rodrick said renewing your gym membership is a great way to help the local economy.

“With the governor opening gyms this week, it’s a great opportunity for residents to get involved and help to kick start our local economy back in gear,” Rodrick said. “Small business is the backbone of Toms River and surrounding communities and these gym owners have been waiting a long time for this.”

Rodrick urged gym owners and patrons to follow both state and federal guidelines while at the gym to reduce possible exposure to COVID-19 infection.
