Watch: Peaceful Protester Drives Car Through Sneaker Store on Melrose Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA –  A man who carjacked a vehicle in Venice Beach drove it to Melrose Avenue and drove it through the window of a Coolkicks sneaker store.  LAPD officers responded to reports that a vehicle had crashed into a store on Melrose Ave. Their thorough investigation led to the suspect being located blocks away, and also being identified as the suspect for an earlier carjacking in Venice.   Coolkicks later wrote on its Instagram page, “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we will be closed today. We will be buying shoes at @thecoolbycoolkicks From 11-8pm.”

The incident appears to be planned as nearly a dozen bystanders stood by recording the entire incident.
