NYC Firefighters Chase After Man on Bike Who Sucker Punched Woman

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A woman walking in front of the 214 Engine Company, Ladder 111 firehouse in Bedford Stuyvesant was attacked by a man passing on the bike.  Luckily for the woman, on-duty firefighters at the station saw it happen and quickly chased the man down on his bike.  They caught up with him around the corner held the man until police arrived.  The victim, a 60-year-old resident that everyone in the neighborhood knows.  The man, 53-year-old Daniel Biggs has 8 prior arrests against him, including robbery and assault.  So far, police have not determined the motive behind Biggs’ assault.  The attack happened on August 26th.  Surveillance video from J&A Grocery and Deli was made available today.
