Parkville Man Charged for Double Shooting on Overheart Lane in Columbia

Parkville, MD – Police have charged a Columbia man with a double shooting on Oct. 3 in Columbia that left one person with life-threatening injuries. Tarik Parker Dorsey, 21, of Overheart Lane, is charged with two counts each of attempted first-degree murder; attempted second-degree murder; first-degree assault; and reckless endangerment. He is also charged with weapon violations. Dorsey is being held at the Howard County Detention Center on no bond.
Police responded to the 5600 block of Cedar Lane at approximately 8:29 p.m. for a report of a shooting and located two adult male victims. Sherod Madison Hogue, 26, of Columbia, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and remains in critical condition. Gregory Peck McGraw, 31, of Baltimore, was also treated at Shock Trauma and has since been released. Upon arriving at the scene, police learned that a group of people had gathered to shoot a music video when a male suspect in the group opened fire for an unknown reason before fleeing. Through investigation, police identified the suspect as Dorsey. He was arrested Tuesday in Parkville. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
