Police Announce Arrest of Two for Murder of Baltimore MTA Bus Driver Marcus Parks

BALTIMORE, MC – Commissioner Harrison, Mayor Young, and Representative from the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and MTA Police, announced the arrests of two suspects in the murder of MTA Bus Driver Marcus Parks.  In reference to the murder of 51-year-old Marcus Parks that occurred on October 9, 2020, in the 1200 block of East Fayette Street, detectives have arrested 24 year-old Cameron Silcott and 27 year-old Nichelle Greene. Investigators transported Silcott and Green to Central Booking Intake Facility where they both have been charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder, 1st and 2nd degree assault and several handgun violations.

On October 8, 2020 at approximately 10:32 A.M., a Southeast District Patrol officer was in the area of the 1200 block of E. Fayette Street when he heard gunshots. The officer responded to the area where he saw and chased the shooting suspect. The suspect was able to elude apprehension. Upon returning to the location, the officer found a 51 year-old male bus driver suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by medics. Homicide detectives are investigating this incident and have learned that the victim and the suspect (passenger on the bus) were arguing when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled on foot.  Detectives are asking anyone who has information about this incident to call (410) 396-2100.
