Altercation Leads to Stabbing of 50-Year-Old Man in Wilmington

Wilmington, DE – The Delaware State Police are investigating a report of a stabbing incident that occurred yesterday morning.

The incident occurred on October 14, 2020, at approximately 9:55 a.m., when Troopers responded to North Maryland Avenue, Wilmington, for a report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, Troopers located a 50-year-old male victim from Wilmington with a stab wound to the leg.  Further investigation indicated that the victim engaged in an altercation with an unknown male subject.  During the verbal altercation the suspect proceeded to stab the victim once in the leg.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.


There is no suspect information at this time.
